February 21, 2026- The Local Government Unit of Pudtol, under the leadership of Mayor Atty. Edmar D. Pascua, visited the billeting school of Apayao Delegation at La Trinidad Central School.
As part of the municipality’s strengthened youth and sports development agenda, and consistent with the commitment made during the Joint Local School Board and Sports Development Council Meeting, the LGU released financial assistance to all CARAA qualifier athletes. A total of 238 athletes received a stipend of Two Thousand Pesos (₱2,000.00) each to support their daily needs during the competition.
In his message of encouragement, Mayor Pascua underscored the value of discipline, perseverance, and excellence, reminding the athletes that success is measured not only by medals but by giving their very best in every competition. He likewise reaffirmed the LGU’s commitment to provide additional incentives to CARAA medalists in recognition of their hard work and dedication.
The CARAA Meet 2026 will officially commence tomorrow, February 22–27, 2026, with the opening program at the Benguet Sports Complex, carrying the theme: “Sustaining a United and Healthier Cordillera Through Sport.”
This initiative reflects the sustained and proactive support of the LGU Pudtol for youth and sports development. Notably, 38% of the athletes comprising the Apayao Delegation come from Pudtol, highlighting the municipality’s strong performance in athletics, including its championship finish in the recent Provincial Athletic Meet.
Through collaborative governance and continued investment in sports and youth development, The LGU remains committed to empowering young athletes and sustaining programs that promote excellence and sportsmanship.
